New dedicated sputter targets site launched
Due to steadily increasing demand, Moorfield have released a new standalone website just for sputter targets! As industry leaders in high-vacuum PVD, CVD, and etch systems, we can offer a huge range of sputtering targets, as well as expert advice and guidance for your project. The new site showcases some of the most popular targets […]
Substrate adhesion of sputtered films
An introductory explanation of substrate adhesion, and how this can be improved.
Plasma etching stages from Moorfield
Plasma etching is an excellent way to clean substrate surfaces, promote adhesion and optimise sample quality layers
Tools that fit like a glove
Research-grade vacuum deposition with inert sample handling
Graphene soft-etching with the nanoETCH
Moorfield graphene soft-etching technology allows for the controlled removal of graphene and 2D materials, without cross-linking photoresists that can lead to residual contamination that affects device performance.
New Australia & New Zealand distributor
Moorfield Nanotechnology Limited (Knutsford, UK) recently announced the appointment of a new distributor for their PVD, CVD and etch products for the Australia and New Zealand region.
Engineered to defection
Researchers at the University of Cambridge and Nokia Research Centre have used Moorfield’s nanoETCH to carefully ‘damage’ single graphene sheets in order to minimise contact resistances in fabricated devices.
Graphene-based mid-infrared room-temperature pyroelectric bolometers with ultrahigh temperature coefficient of resistance
Sassi, U., et al. Nature Communications 2017 DOI: 10.1038/ncomms14311 This work reports the use of graphene as part of an uncooled, mid-infrared photodetector, where the pyroelectric response of a LiNbO3 crystal is transduced with high gain (up to 200) into resistivity modulation for graphene. The nanoETCH system is critical as part of the work, being […]
We’re back from another demo tour, with more on the way!
This time we took our nanoETCH and nanoPVD systems along to Paris, Caen and Toulouse for some live product demonstrations. Thank you to everyone who came to see us. Next up are Benelux and Scandinavia in early 2017.
nanoETCH featured product in Physik Journal
With all its unique features and capabilities, the nanoETCH is a featured product in the most recent Physik Journal (published by Wiley in Germany). Based in Germany? Click here to visit their website and get your copy!
Moorfield complete North-East UK demo tour
Another month, another demo tour! This time, up to the north-east UK. Thanks to all who came along to live demonstrations of our nanoETCH and nanoCVD products for graphene and 2D materials. Next up: Further locations in Northern England and Scotland! (Please contact us if you’d like to book a visit…)
Upcoming demo tour: South by South West!
Moorfield are planning their latest demo tour. This time we’ll be heading to the English West Country and South Wales. We’ll be bringing nanoETCH and nanoCVD systems with us, so if you’re in the area, available the week of 20th June and would like to see state-of-the-art graphene and 2D materials systems in action, let us […]
