December 2006 - Moorfield Associates (Plumley, Cheshire, UK) have announced the introduction of a new range of source and sample shutters for vacuum deposition applications. Shutters can be manually or automatically actuated. The automated range has been specifically designed to operate with the Sigma range of products. There is also the option of a local / remote panel to check that the shutters are working prior to closing the chamber.... saves time! It is just a few more components from the MiniLab concept.
September 2006 - Moorfield Associates (Plumley, Cheshire, UK) have announced the introduction of a range of deposition vacuum fittings for base plate services. Items include - 3/4" to 1" base plate port quick fit adaptor for sputtering cathodes; base plate blanks with M6 blind tapped holes for tooling ( why waste the opportunity?); water feed throughs; gas feed throughs; rotary actuators. It is just a few more components from the MiniLab concept.
June 2006 - Moorfield Associates (Plumley, Cheshire, UK) have announced the introduction of a budget priced throttle valve for vacuum applications where stable chamber pressure is required for processes such as magnetron sputtering. The valve may be manually, pneumatically or electronically actuated. Prices start at amazingly low levels. It is just one more component from the MiniLab concept.
April 2006 - Moorfield Associates (Plumley, Cheshire, UK) have announced the introduction of a full gas management system specifically designed in modular form for sputter systems. Three basic packages are available - manual, semi-auto and fully automated. All packages have options available. It is just one more component from the MiniLab concept.
2 channel gas control panel January 2006 - Moorfield Associates (Plumley, Cheshire, UK) have announced the introduction of the CS150, a new sample rotation system with cold stage ( -5C), bias and Z shift options. The stage is all UHV compatible and mounts off an NW35CF flange. It is just one more component from the MiniLab concept.
October 2005 - Moorfield Associates (Plumley, Cheshire, UK) have announced the introduction of the HS150, a new sample rotation system with hot stage ( 600C), bias and Z shift options. The stage is all UHV compatible and mounts off an NW35CF flange. It is just one component from the MiniLab concept. April 2005 - Moorfield Associates (Plumley, Cheshire, UK) have announced the introduction of a 3 head sputter deposition system based on the MiniLab system. The system accepts both DC and RF power and has a range of accessories and sample stages to suit user applications.
May 2004 - Moorfield Associates (Plumley, Cheshire, UK) launched Clean-Cube, a budget priced laminar down flow clean room that supports up to ISO 5 ( class 100) environments. Based upon a modular panel design of 1200mm x 2400mm, the Clean-Cube is a self supporting structure with a silver anodised aluminium frame and T grid ceiling for "plug and play" plant and lighting systems. Air controls are simple but effective. Options include - gowning room, pass through hatch and soft wall curtains for "micro-climate" at point of use.
March 2003 - Moorfield Associates (Plumley, Cheshire, UK) launched Clean-Hood, a budget priced laminar flow booth for Class 100 workstation laboratory work. The product is designed in a modular form allowing users to purchase a full free standing unit as either vertical down flow or horizontal cross flow. Options include: electrical pack ( lights and power), stainless steel work bench, tri fold valance, minihelic differential pressure gauge ( for filter condition monitoring) and fan speed controller.
December 2002 - Moorfield Associates (Plumley, Cheshire, UK) has recently received an order for its new Minilab depostion system from the University of Manchester. The system will be installed in the new Nano-Technology Laboratory situated in the IT building. The system incorporates magnatron sputtering, dry etch, electron beam deposition and fast atom bombardment techniques, all within the 400mm cubed front loading box chamber Sept 2002 - Moorfield Associates (Plumley, Cheshire, UK) has recently launched its new Clean-Tent range for bio-technology and Pharmaceutical applications. Designed to give Class"B" background and Class "A" point of use work envelope, the new Clean-Tents are being targeted at VC type start up companies where high capital costs of permanent clean rooms is prohibitive. The new Pharma design includes a third zone option ( grey area) between the gowning area and the white zone. For details email sales@moorfield.co.uk
Clean-Tent Product Manager, Ali Turner will be on site to give informal demonstrations to clients and to talk through possible application configurations. Ali said " The Clean-Tent is fast becoming the industry standard as a quick solution to "out of Fab" equipment protocol and new kit protocol. We are seeing a high increase in sales as we demonstrate the products capabilities". For more information e-mail ali@moorfield.co.uk
The "mini-box" product range is capable of 5x10-8 Torr base pressure and incorporates DC and or RF Sputter Coating, Four pocket E-beam evaporation, Thermal evaporation, RIE. Options for the techniques include: Plasma Cleaning, Manual / Automated Sample Rotation, Sample Heating / Cooling, Process Control, Thin Film Monitor Integration. The "mini-box" can also be retrofit to any existing Edwards E306 coating unit. For more information e-mail sales@moorfield.co.uk
April 2001 - Moorfield Associates (Plumley, UK) has been awarded the first order for it's newly announced "mini-box" R&D deposition range of products from Hewlett Packard (Bristol, UK). Moorfield won the contract inspite of heavy competition from major OEM's. Moorfield's Chris Rigby explained " I think the customer liked our modular approach to the problem, together with the design flexibility offered by the "mini-box" range ".
