Team Moorfield raft to victory for charity

On the 30th June Moorfield entered a charity raft race to raise funds for the children's hospice " Francis House". Apart from it being a great day out, more than £1,000 was raised for the charity. Team Moorfield (Plumley, UK), under the direction of team leader ( and raft builder ) Ali Turner, put in a tremendous effort and powered through the heats to make the final. It must be said that the team was burnt out at this point since they had to smother the fortunes of previous winners in order to qualify. However a gallant effort resulted in 3rd place overall. Well done Team Moorfield!!

Team Moorfield consisted of :- Ali Turner, Viv Whitehead, Megan Whitehead, Henry Shrigley-Feigl, David Smith and Bill (press ganged) Kavanagh

With many thanks going to our sponsors:  Express Signs;  Firmin Coates;  European Mass Spectrometry Services;  Amtrak ( thanks Craig )  Express Parcels;  Arc Exhibitions;  IDB Technologies.
