ecoSys-P is the latest
addition to the advanced quadrupole mass spectrometer
range from ESS. The system takes full advantage of ESS'
experience in miniaturising mass spectrometer systems
whilst retaining the functional ability of a laboratory
system. ecoSys-P is easily carried by an individual, a
laptop PC will fit easily into the case, it has numerous
power options, and can operate in the closed position
when it is being purged for hazardous use. The system
comes complete with the necessary software for carrying
out analysis, the ability to automate many functions,
such as calibration, or perform automatic pre-programmed
survets. The system can operate in a full remote mode,
via a phone line, or mobile phone, allowing for control,
servicing, and file transfer. ecoSys-P gives you a full
function lab standards in any field situation.

ecoSys-P
is ESS' most compact M/S sytem to date, so compact that a
laptop PC fits easily into the case. This allows
convenient working space for the operatr, as well as
allowing for a quick packup time. Or, if preffered, the
back panel allows for an external PC connection, and the
connection of periferal equipment such as the Navigator
multi-gas stream selector. Serial communication between
the PC and the M/S allows separation distances of up to
40m, between the operator, and the sample point. The
standard system can detect VOC's to a single ppb level at
very high speeds (100ms per mass) and has a sample
transfer time between process event and M/S detection of
<100ms for capillary versions and <1 second for
membrane inlets. The addition of an automatic thermal
absorber allows detection to ppt levels but increases the
point analysis time to 90 seconds. Inlet options are
available for Ambient, Stack, Ducted, Head space,
Process, Source, and Very high temperature (1300 degC)
monitoring
