| Titanium Sublimation Pumps (TSPs) are designed to
pump chemically reactive, getterable gases. Titanium is
well suited as an evaporant; it is effective, easily
sublimed and inexpensive. TSPs are renowned for their
high pumping speeds and reliability. At pressures below
10 -6 Torr pumping speed is dependant upon available
surface area for condensation. By fitting a water or cryo
cooled panel into the vacuum system pumping speed can be
dramatically increased. The TSP45 system consists of: 1
TSP 45 controller, 1 TSP 3 pump head (3 filament) mounted
on a 70mm OD conflat flange, 1 bakeable cable, 1 TSP
spares pack. An optional LN2 cryo panel or Water cooled
shroud can be added to ensure optimal performance.
The TSP45 is a simple yet robust system designed for
rugged reliability. The pump head is all stainless steel
constuction with 3 high current feed throughs mounting on
a CF35 (70mm o/d) conflat flange making it ideal for
retrofit to a UHV system. The pump head is controlled via
a bakeable 3 mtr cable set to the TSP45 control unit.
Here, control timer is user set to define TSP duration
and delay time. A 3 pole high current switch is used to
select the filament and a manual over ride can be
selected if automation is not required.
