Moorfield Associates was founded in 1989 as a
scientific data
system company for the distribution of technical products
at affordable prices. Although the product portfolio has
changed significantly with the success of the business,
this philosophy is still a key corporate objective today.
Low
overhead structure and high investment in product R&D has enabled the company to
maintain a competitive advantage in terms of both price
and service turnaround.
Today, Moorfield operate a
network of design and development partnerships with leading academic groups in order to maintain a
valuable competitive edge in the market place.

Value...
"It's
unwise to pay too much, but it's unwise to pay too little. When
you pay too much you lose a little money, that is all. When you
pay too little you sometimes lose everything because the thing
you bought was incapable of doing the thing you bought it to do.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and
getting a lot. It can't be done. If you deal with the lowest
bidder, it's well to add something for the risk you run. And if
you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.
John Ruskin (1819-1900) |
Moorfield's
HQ is located in the tranquility of the Cheshire
countryside just 2 miles south of the old market town of
Knutsford and
conveniently sited within 2 miles of the M6 motorway, 12
miles from Manchester International Airport and 30 miles
from the Roman town of Chester.
Knutsford
and its conurbations have a history of producing quietly determined men
and women through the centuries including; Henry Royce co-founder of Rolls Royce;
George Mallory - the man who still torments mountaineers with that great
question " did he get to the top of Everest with Irving?" - of
course he did! General
Patton was based close to Knutsford at Over Peover during the second
world war. He regularly frequented the famous hostelry " the Bells
of Peover", outlining the Allied strategy over a glass of claret
perhaps?
